I don't know how comfortable I am with the idea of a genetically engineered fish. I mean, I guess it's not that big a deal considering that scientists have been modifying genetics this way or that for decades in all kinds of foods. But for some reason it makes me a little nervous.
It sounds so sci-fi, but really genetically "modifying" something could be as simple as withholding light at a specific moment, or adding light, or just feeding them a slightly different food. But this isn't that simple. This is actually a fish with the genes of a salmon and an ocean "pout". That's messing with nature in a much greater way.
