But he was a trooper and was SO well behaved all day Saturday. We went to the bead store, a Vietnamese resteraunt (yummy Pho!), and Nordstrom Rack. He didn't have any meltdowns and was a doll nearly the whole time. Of course, if my little cousin hadn't come with us it would have been a little different, and less productive.
My mom can be a bad influence on me, but I think we did pretty well. I actually managed to not buy any supplies the entire time of Lent! Woohoo! And I did not go nuts on Saturday. I set a budget, and while I went over it, it's partly because I paid for items for my mom as well. So I spent less than $300 and got some incredibly gorgeous beads. My favorite find was lab created Citrine. OH EM GEE!
While lab created isn't my mom's favorite type of gemstone, the beauty of these stones won her over. We seemed to focus on reds and yellow/gold colored stones and glass. Not sure why. Although I do love red.
And since my little cousin was staying with us over the weekend, I managed to make three necklaces and three pairs of earrings. None of which will be for sale. hahaha I guess I should really make things to sell, but I want to make some things for me to wear. Two of the necklaces and earrings are for my mom.
Red and gold foil glass with faceted citrine spacers. Sterling silver toggle clasp.
Matching Earrings. Sterling silver leverbacks.
Faceted lab created Citrine - rondells and rounds. It just looks so rich. The one above is for my mom and mine is below (she hates lobster clasps).
She gets the lobster clasps and I will wear the posts.
I really can't wait to find some time to create more goodies. I have all sorts of ideas in my mind and look forward to creating some more pieces for me to wear in my new job. Since I have to wear business clothes I've been shopping a lot the last few weeks...so of course I need new jewelry to wear with my new clothes!

I love the top set!
Thanks! I actually tried that one on this morning but it's not my style. I think it'll be great for my mom though! =)
