I Can See Clearly Now!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Incendia Health. All opinions are 100% mine.

If we could afford it, and I wasn't in the middle of changing jobs, I would seriously consider getting Lasiks eye surgery. I never would have thought about it before Marshal came. But the little stinker thinks my glasses are fascinating and likes to put his hand right smack dab in the middle of them. *sigh*

Imagine never having to fumble for my "eyes" in the morning. Being able to see where I'm walking in the middle of the night.

Don't get me wrong, I really love my glasses - how could I not? They're pink Coach with sparkly crystals on the sides. They're pure bling. But it sure would be nice to not HAVE to wear them.

I really hope that Abbott Medical Optics Inc. (AMO), a global leader in laser vision correction, holds another "You Gotta See This" iLASIK Video Contest in the future. People made videos to show how improved vision could improve their lives for the chance to win some slammin' prizes, including a $5,000 Grand Prize. I missed out on this one, but here are the winners from this year's contest.

Hubby had Lasik before he became a Trooper, but I doubt he'd have entered a iLASIK Video Contest. He's just too shy. I'd totally do one, but I'm not super creative when it comes to things like that. Although I think I'd have to have the "I Can See Clearly Now" song in it...it's now stuck in my head!

It would be so hard to judge a contest like this! I watched some of them and I don't think the winner was the best one myself.

I had Lasik done in Canada 12 years ago. They were advertising to Boeing employees and offering a package deal. Lazik, hotel, follow-up for $1000. I knew a ton of people who did it so I finally did it too. What I remember the most about this is my husband's truck got stolen from the hotel underground parking garage while we were sleeping (we watched it being taken on their security camera later that day). And there was a fire alarm while we were sleeping! The hotel was full of us Lazik patients with our eye coverings on being led out of the hotel by our partners/friends who had brought us up for the procedure!

Anyway, I loved losing the glasses and have been very happy about having the procedure done. After you are done having kids, go for it!

I had it done a couple of years ago...bet you didn't know that, and love it. The best thing is getting up in the middle of the night and not having to reach for my glasses just to go to the bathroom. Due to the age, I do have to wear readers but there are so many fun ones and they are cheap so I don't mind. It is quite comical tho when someone comes over and I have about 3 sitting on the coffee table. One for reading, one for the computer and one for crafting.....LOL the things we do.

I do highly recommend it and you are seeing clearly after about 24 hours. Mine is 20/25 now vs. I don't know what previously ....I think it was off the chart.

I had to laugh at the "Contacts Stink" video entry, because I can totally relate. I love my contacts, but they give me so much trouble at times... I've heard about laser eye surgery (and my eyes are pretty bad due to astigmatism), but I haven't decided on it yet...

OMG Rosanne...that is horible and hilarious at the same time. =) I can only imagine!

Dana...I didn't know that!!! I really don't want to keep wearing glasses but I'm still scared!

Miss - I can't even wear contacts! Hubby had it a long time ago and is really glad.
