Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

I am glad they did away with "Secretary's Day" because I think Administrative Professional is a way better description of what secretaries really do and are. I used to be one (for at least 8 years) and hated the term secretary.

So here's to you - you who hold the rest of the company together and make the actual everyday decisions. :)

I've been that person. A rose is a rose, no matter the name. No matter the name, not everybody appreciates a rose... which brings me to the reason I have been self-employed for the last 21 years!

Oh yeah, I was one for 7 years and I would always correct anyone who addressed me as a secretary. I loathed that label!

Understood. I worked in HR, and hated the term 'personnel'. Happy Admin Day to everyone!

I've always appreciated what my admin has done for me. Without her, I would be doing a lot of stuff she could easily take care of it instead of I work on the engineering stuff.

I love my mother's assistant. She really does do everything... like keep chocolate in her desk for me.

It cracks me up to see this post, because my hubby and I were just talking about how "secretaries" can actually do a better job of running a place when the boss is on vacation then the boss can do when he's home. :) Talk about underpaid! LOL!
