Passport Scandal
"...court documents show a State Department employee provided personal information from passport applications for use in a credit-card fraud scheme..."
"...the fraud ring submitted credit-card applications using the names and "identifying information" of the persons listed on the passport applications, and that a postal service employee then would intercept the cards before they were delivered to the appropriate residences.Passport application data includes details such as a person's date and place of birth, e-mail address, mailing address, Social Security number, former names and travel plans..."
Just wait until they have their hands on all our healthcare information. Scares the crap out of me! I was planning to apply for a renewed passport but now I'm not so sure. Sheesh.

That is scary. Kinda like that facebook conspiracy theory.
The government is also outsourcing the passports being made to Thailand.

Amen! Just wanted to drop by and thank you for your continued support of my site. Your comments are always right on and to the point. This particular discussion on your blog is so right on! I hope to God they never get into our health records! They can't even get Medicare/Medicaid right!
Agreed, scary. But it's not just government, think of how much personal data you give to your bank, utility companies, etc. Any one of those companies could have a less-than-honest person on the inside that decides to download account info for a scam. Just be careful, as much as you can.
That sounds scary. I just watched Conspiracy Theory last week. This just reminds me of that.
Yay! I am so excited to hear from someone else that thinks the same way I do. I am very against big government and for personal responsibility! I'm actually surprised that all small business owners don't agree with me.
well if you wanna leave the country and get a welcome back in, you kinda have to fill out the app. Sux
I worry about identity theft so much these days. It scares the heck out of me.
