Thanks for visiting my blog and seeing my bird. He is an American White Pelican. That thing on his beak grows during mating season. I took that picture at a local zoo with just an 18-55mm lens, almost fully zoomed. He was about 5 feet from the fenceline, sitting on a raised pedestal, so I was able to get some GREAT shots of this guy. LOVE his blue eyes!
